InType is a text editor for Windows highly inspired by TextMate. E is another editor that takes more literal inspiration from TextMate. Apparently there is some animosity, at least from some members of the, still unfinished, InType community.
I haven’t used either of these editors, so it is hard to say if this critique of E is justified or not. InType is a significantly smaller download — less than a meg in size — but I do find it amusing to call a 9 Meg download “bloated”
It reminds me of the Amiga stalwarts, patiently and persistantly, explaining why the Amiga was better than Windows and the Mac. The problem being while the Amiga folk (and I used to be a proud, though not evangelical, member of that number) were explaining; the windows and mac people were getting things done…
