There is something amazing about this picture.  Something that just makes me want to stare at it for ages.  Keller is still in that way you can only be if you are not distracted by seeing and hearing.  She is engrossed in the sensation.
Chaplin is a little bemused, but clearly engaged and interested… or maybe this is all just what is in my head.  Photographs are frozen moments in time, without any context of what happened before or after.  They gain meaning when the viewer interprets them…
