Who Hijacked Islam?
I think this guy is very funny and makes a great series of arguments — tainted only by falling into the trap that there is a they and a them. It is so easy to get hooked on the idea that there is a group (the ones in power, the media, etc) that has a racist/prejudice agenda. Speaking as a middle class white guy who is smack in the middle of the second act of his life, I think I can say that active prejudice isn’t the problem.
The problem is something much much worse, much more insidious. It is the the twin tyrannies of apathy and ignorance. The people who don’t bother to think or research. The people who know just enough to make statements they don’t even realize are perpetuating the stereotypes.
