Why I Bake
I bake because:
It relaxes me
The pain can be so bad I can’t focus on anything else
I am good at it
I need to feel productive
I don’t want to think about how bad my motor control is
Because I make yummy things
I have lost so much to this illness it is nice to gain something
It makes me happy

Note to self: never piss off Arrington. I frankly don’t get the level of — what I can only characterize as — anger he has towards Cook. Especially without any knowlege of what Cook has or has not done.

There is so much objectionable in that one clip alone that I don’t even know where to start. If there is a hell then, I am fairly sure that this is enough to earn Willie Aames a spot. The twist of the knife is that this is the kind of thing the people who complain about the “culture wars” think is good and wholesom.

Working the stats...
There is at least one murder per episode of CSI:Miami, and sometimes more than that. To be conservative call it 1.25 per episode. There are 22 episodes per year, so that works out to 27.5 murders per season (minimum). According to this there were 77 murders in Miami in 2006. So in one season we get to see 36.7% of all the murders.
Somehow I have a hard time believe that all of them were...

One of the coolest things I have seen in a while. A research project to make a squeak/smalltalk like environment out of Javascript+SVG+XHTML
CSI:Miami has clearly heard of subtext, but wants no part of it
